GERING, Neb. (AP) — A 23-year-old Scottsbluff man has been accused of abusing his 6-month-old daughter.

Authorities say Michael Medbery was arrested after officers investigated a hospital report of head injuries to the girl.

Jail records say Medbery remained in custody on Monday. It’s not clear whether Medbery has a lawyer who could be contacted to comment on Medbery’s behalf. Online court records don’t yet list the case.

The child’s mother wasn’t home when the injuries occurred. The child was flown to a Denver hospital for treatment.
