Alethea “Kit” Morgan went to her heavenly home October 11, 2015 just after 6pm. Kit was an extremely devoted Christian which gave her ultimate peace in her 89 years.
Kit was born to Andrew and Marie (Oberlander) Anderson February 26, 1926 in Scottsbluff, NE. Fate took Kit many place, but the most beautiful event was the day she met Harry Morgan, Jr. The love birds eventually married on Oct. 18, 1943. Together Kit and Harry had five children; Judy, Jerry, Casey, Tod and Jill.
Kit was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 50 years, and a long-time member of the Hershey, NE Garden Belles. Besides spending time with family, Kit had many enjoyable past times including sewing, attending church, and gardening. There wasn’t a flower that Kit couldn’t grow.
Kit was kind to everyone she came across in her long life. She was a dear friend to many, including her younger brother, Ralph and his wife, Mary.
In her final years, Kit graced the halls of Linden Court. She made many friends during her time there, telling stories of her family and days on the farm in Hershey. She put smiles on many faces and Jesus in the hearts of even more. She will be extremely missed just as much as she was loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry; and her son, Jerry Morgan in 2000.
Her memory lives on in the hearts of a large family including her four children, Judy (Bill) Stone of North Platte, Casey (Teena) Morgan of Raymond, NE, Tod (Brenda) Morgan of Sabetha, KS and Jill (Brian) Woodward of Grand Island; 14 grandchildren, Lori (Nate) Jensen, Jerry Stone, Brad (Toni) Stone, Ted (Traci) Stone, Tammy (Chris) Huggler, Jeff Morgan, Susan (Paul) Niegisch, Jenny (Chris) Smith, Beth (James) Harvey, Angie (Pat) Nottingham, Andy (Jen) Morgan, Sean (Krista) Morgan, Zach (Jenny) Woodward and Emmily (Brad) Starman; 24 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; ; her brother, Ralph (Mary) Anderson; and a daughter-in-law, Helen (James) Fassnacht of Niangua, MO.
Online condolence may be shared at www.carpentememorial.com. Memorials are suggested to Linden Court. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.
