Susan Jean Land, age 51 of Omaha, formerly of North Platte, passed away on October 14, 2015.
Susan was born on August 1, 1964 in Killeen, TX to Donald and Patricia (Truken) Jacobs. She attended school in various places with her military family until graduating from North Platte High School in 1982. She went to nursing school and earned her LPN degree. She worked as an LPN at several area nursing homes, and did private health care in her patients’ homes. She was very passionate and caring as a nurse and loved taking care of others. Her children were the center of her life and she looked forward to having grandchildren.
Susan is survived by her father Donald (Maggie) Jacobs of North Platte; daughter Erica (Sean Kivlehan) Land of San Francisco; son Matthew Jacobs of North Platte; siblings Anna Marie (Gary) Johnston of Texas, Donald (Candy) Jacobs Jr. of North Platte, David Jacobs of North Platte and Crystal (Jeremy) Uden of North Platte; as well as numerous other family members and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia; and nephew Charles Johnston.

A memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday October 16, 2015 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home. Register book signing will be noon until 5:00 p.m. Thursday October 15, 2015 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
