OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Police say a man lying in a midtown Omaha street was killed when he was hit by sport utility vehicle.

Police say it appears the man had been drinking when he was hit around 2:30 a.m. Thursday near 40th and Leavenworth streets.

Police have not released other details of the accident, including the name of the man killed.

Officials say they are notifying the man’s family members of his death before releasing his name.
