The North Platte Community College defeated the York College Junior Varsity 68-50 on Monday Night.

The Lady Knights led 21-12 after the first quarter and increased their lead to 36-25 at halftime.  In the fourth quarter the Lady Knights outscored the Lady Panthers 19-11 to seal the win.

Lady Knights Assistant Coach Nolan Collins said, “We had too many unforced turnovers tonight.  We have to be more consistent from the free throw line.  It was a good team win though.  We were able to play a lot of people.”

The Knights went 17 for 28 from the free throw line.

The Lady Knights were led in scoring by Sarah Mahr who had 18 points.  Maddie Seamann finished with 13 points and Thomesha Wilson added 10.

The Lady Panthers had three in double figures led by Jacqueline Esquivel and Vanessa Espinosa, who each had 12 points.  Mikala Wilson had 11 points.

The Lady Knights, now 3-2 on the season will host Colby Community College on Saturday, November 14 at 6 pm.
