A crash involving two semis closed a portion of Interstate 80 for about two hours and sent three people to the hospital on Wednesday evening.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, a semitrailer was traveling westbound near the Maxwell interchange when it went across the median, just after 6:00 pm, and collided with a truck that was traveling eastbound.
Troopers say three people sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital, one was transported by helicopter with “serious” injuries.
The crash remains under investigation and the names of those involved have not been released.
Authorities say the eastbound lanes of the Interstate were closed for about two hours while debris from the crash was cleaned up.
