Mildred (Stubbs) Whitesel

Mildred-WhiteselMildred (Stubbs) Whitesel passed away peacefully in her home on November 23, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.  Mildred was born on April 14, 1919 to Frank and Encie Stubbs on her grandparent’s   farm.  She married the love of her life Louis Whitesel on December 5, 1936. From this union 4 children were born.  She was a happy, compassionate, and loving mother.  Those who knew her were blessed by her sense of humor, joy of living and love of life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; her parents, Frank and Encie; brothers, Orval, Ben, Grover; and sister Aletha.

Survived by her children, Cleo (Darrell) Hill, Allan (Trish), Terry (Mary) and Melanie (Jim); grandchildren, Charity (Ben), David and Darin (Leanne) Hill, Gwen (Matthew) Cory, Matthew Whitesel and Kiersten (Michael) Stockham;  great grandchildren, Sarah (Britt) McClintock,  Darrell Hill, Keagan, Tucker, and Harley Hill and Cormick and Peydinn Stockham; brothers, Jack (Anita) and Charles; sisters, Twila (Bob), Loy (Bill), and Ermine (Marvin); many nieces and nephews.

Online condolences may be shared at www.carpentermemorial.com.  In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Great Plains Home Health and Hospice.  Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.  Cremation was chosen.  Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Douglas A. Delp officiating.  Private family inurnment will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens south of North Platte.  Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
