The North Platte Community College Lady Knights basketball team will travel to Colby, Kan. to take on the Colby Community College Lady Trojans on Wednesday, December 9 at 6 pm.
The Lady Knights defeated the Lady Trojans on November 14 at home 46-38. In that game Suhmer Mitchell led the Lady Knights in scoring with 11 points. Djimonii Jackson had nine rebounds.
The Lady Knights are 4-4 on the season. Sophomore Sarah Mahr leads the Lady Knights in scoring with 14.4 points per game. Mitchell is the only other Lady Knight scoring in double digits with 10.4 points per game. Mickenzie Brennan leads the Lady Knights in rebounding with 5.5 rebounds per game. Brennan, along with Mahr each are averaging 2.1 assists per game for the team lead.
The Lady Trojans are 4-9 on the season. Tanaka Gapare, the Lady Trojans leading scorer, 15.3 points per game and rebounder, 10.2 rebounds per game was injured in the first game between the two teams and has not played since then.
The Lady Trojans leading scorer is Amber Perryman. Perryman is averaging 8.2 points per game. Hanna Herman leads in rebounding with 5.5 rebounds per game. Herman also has 1.8 assists per game.
The Lady Knights are 4-1 against Colby under Head Coach Richard Thurin.
