The North Platte Community College Lady Knights volleyball team has signed Madi Gilg from Gothenburg to a national letter of intent for the 2016 season.
Gilg, a 5’5” setter, played for the Gothenburg High School Lady Swedes for three seasons. In her career, she played in 210 sets and had 966 assists, 486 digs, 76 service aces and 84 kills.
During her senior season, the Lady Swedes finished with a 24-9 season, ending in the C1-6 district finals.
Lady Knights’ Head Coach Alexa Hopping said, “Madi does a good job of controlling the floor and pushing a quicker offense. I think she will be good for our team as she is a very well rounded player.”
Gilg is the third signee for the Lady Knights for the 2016 season. Brooklyn Krehmeyer from Weldon, Colo and Antonya Schaffert from Otis, Colo. both signed last week.
