OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — An Omaha man has been charged with misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide and driving under suspension for a December crash that killed another man.
The crash occurred Dec. 23 in northwest Omaha crash when a sport utility vehicle driven by 19-year-old DeAngelo Peak ran off North 120th Street and hit a tree. Police say there were icy patches on the roadway but that the primary cause of the crash was speeding.
A passenger, 20-year-old Marcus Haney of Bennington, died at the scene. Peak was injured.
An attorney for Peak is not yet listed in online court records.
