Carol Ann Bender, 67, of North Platte passed away February 8, 2016 at Great Plains Health.
She was born in Scottsbluff, NE on December 16, 1948 to Rueben and Rose (Reizenstein) Wiege. Carol grew up in various towns, finishing her high school career at North Platte High School. She married Gary Ridinger on July 7, 1968 in North Platte. The couple lived in various places due to Gary’s Army Career before settling in Big Springs, NE. Carol started her upholstery business in 1973, attending classes and taking much pride in her work. She and Gary moved to North Platte to further her career leading to them opening Carol’s Upholstery. To their union two daughters were born, Tammy and Joy.
Carol married Ervin P. Bender on September 29, 1983 in North Platte. She attended Harvest Christian Fellowship. She loved flowers and gardening, enjoyed playing pool and was on two leagues, was captain of her teams and acquired MVP status. Carol participated in Bunco, enjoyed WWE Wrestling, especially John Cena and Roman Reigns. She loved her pets, dancing and music, junk shopping, and having dances at her home for her friends and daughters. She especially enjoyed spending time with her daughters and family.
Survivors include daughters, Tammy Kimminau of Mishawaka, Indiana and Joy (Troy) Epler of North Platte, Nebraska; grandchildren, Jordan May, Jared May, Anthony Epler, Isaiah Epler, Gracie Epler, and Josiah Epler; great-grandchild, Kennedy May; sister, Judy (Daniel) Fegler of Oregon City, OR; several other family members and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 at Harvest Christian Fellowship with the Reverend Jeremy Rinke officiating. Those wishing to sign the register book may do so 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. today at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
