Alvera M. Cline passed away on March 7th, 2016, with her family at her side. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on August 28th, 1925, to Henry and Katie Alpers. She married Roy C. Cline on July 10th, 1953 in Winnipeg.
During her married life she followed he husband Roy with MK Construction Company all over the U.S. and the world.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie M. Stotland (Duane) of Boise, Idaho, and Charlene G. Anderson (Norm) of Greeley, Colorado. She is survived by a son, Rondell R. Cline (Ann Marie) of Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, Canada. She is survived by seven grandchildren: Ryan M. Stotland (Natalia), Zach M. Stotland, Jacob I. Anderson, Hilary J. Clement (Josh), Ronnie Cline, Crystal Cline, and Susan McClure. She is survived by three great-grandchildren: Dakota Clement, Ethan Cline and Brittnee McClure-Cyphers. She is survived by one sister, Linda Rohrig.
Alvera is preceded in death by her husband Roy C. Cline, brothers Harvey and Burt Alpers, daughter Margaret Thompson (Harry) of Rapid City, North Dakota, and parents Henry and Katie Alpers.
Vera received her American citizenship in November of 1957, in North Platte, Nebraska. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in North Platte and Riverside Chapel at Salmon Creek in Boise, Idaho. She was very active in the Alzheimer’s Society in North Platte and also volunteered over a nineteen year period at the Great Plains Hospital in North Platte, Nebraska. Vera loved crafts and made many beautiful things with her knitting, sewing and crochet.
Burial will be at the North Platte, Nebraska Cemetery. At Vera’s request, there will be a gravesite service on Thursday March 24 at 2 pm. Help us celebrate Vera’s amazing 90 years.
No flowers please. Memorial gifts can be made in her name to your local Alzheimer’s Association.
