North Platte – The North Platte Community College Knights Softball team will host the Trinidad State Junior College Lady Trojans in a doubleheader on Friday, April 1, at the Wayne A. Dowhower Softball Complex.

The Knights are 12-20 on the season and on a four game winning streak.

The Knights are led in hitting by Shelby Belloni with a .495 batting average.  Belloni has two home runs and 20 runs batted in.  Makenzi DeCrow leads the Knights in home runs with eight on the season.  Sara Villalobos has five home runs and 26 runs batted in.

The Lady Trojans are 21-8 on the season.

Isabella Navarro leads the Lady Trojans in hitting at .506, home runs at 15, and 31 runs batted in.  Navarro is currently tied for second in the nation in home runs.  The Lady Trojans as a team are fifth in the nation in home runs in NJCAA Division I with 50 home runs.

The Lady Trojans swept a double header from the Lady Knights on March 4 in Trinidad.  The Lady Trojans hold a 15-4 record against the Lady Knights in the all-time series between the two teams.

Game times are at 3 pm and 5 pm CDT.
