Douglas County Authorities ID 3 Bodies Found in Wrecked Pickup

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Authorities have released the names of three people whose bodies were found in a wrecked pickup in a creek in west Omaha.

A police helicopter crew spotted the truck Tuesday afternoon. The three people were reported missing Sunday.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office identified the driver as 22-year-old Robert Baker III, of Omaha. His passengers were identified as 21-year-old Patricia Padron and 24-year-old Jonathan Rodriguez, of Grand Island. Autopsies have been scheduled for Wednesday.

The Sheriff’s Office says appears the truck was headed south on 180th Street, crossed over Blondo Street into a cornfield and struck some trees at the edge of the creek. The pickup went across the creek, struck the bank and then rolled down the bank and came to rest at the bottom.
