North Platte –The North Platte Community College Knights Softball team will host the Central Community College Lady Raiders in a doubleheader at the Wayne A. Dowhower Softball Complex on Friday, April 8.

The games are National Junior College Athletic Association Region IX Division II contests and will help determine the seeding in the upcoming Region IX Division II tournament in Columbus beginning April 29.

The Knights are 12-23 on the season and 5-1 in Region IX play. The Knights are currently leading Region IX Division II.

The Lady Raiders are 12-17 for the year and 3-2 in Region IX play.

The Knights will clinch the number one seed with at least one victory in the doubleheader. The Knights defeated the Lady Raiders in Columbus 13-12 and 11-9 on March 11. The Lady Raiders hold a 17-15 lead in the all-time series between the two schools.

The games will be broadcast on the radio at ESPN 1410 and online at www.northplattepost.com. They will also be live streamed at www.coachesaid.com.

Game times are at 3 pm and 5 pm.
