OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Omaha police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian in west Omaha.
Police say 34-year-old Margarito Nava-Luna was killed around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Police say Nava-Luna was hit while walking in the westbound lane of Manderson Plaza, where there is no sidewalk.
Police say an initial investigation shows an eastbound vehicle crossed the center line of the road and hit Nava-Luna, who was declared dead at the scene by Omaha Fire Department medics.
