NPCC Knights Softball Host McCook in Doubleheader

npcc mccNorth Platte –The North Platte Community College Knights softball will host the McCook Community College Lady Indians in a Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference softball doubleheader at the Wayne A. Dowhower Softball Complex on Friday, April 22

These games were originally scheduled for April 15, but were postponed due to inclement weather.

The Knights are 14-25 on the season and 6-4 in the NCCAC.

The Knights are hitting .415 as a team and have hit 29 home runs. Shelby Belloni leads the Knights in hitting with a .488 average and 63 hits.  Makenzi DeCrow has 11 home runs for the Knights and has 35 runs batted in.

The Knights have a team earned run average of 5.50, led by Samantha Foster with an ERA of 3.86.  Foster has struck out 32 batters this season.

McCook Community College Lady Indians are 28-24 on the season and 6-4 in the NCCAC.

The Lady Indians are batting .322 as a team and have 28 home runs.  Mackenzie Bilger leads the Lady Indians with a .417 average, eight home runs and 58 RBI.  Kendall Yasui leads the Lady Indians in hits with 72. Yasui is batting .377 on the season.

The Lady Indians have a 3.55 team ERA, led by Robin Harrison with a 3.48 ERA and 98 strikeouts.

Game times are at 5 pm and 7 pm.
