OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Police say one person is dead and another is injured after two shootings were reported around the same time in Omaha.

Police responded to an initial report of shots fired Monday afternoon in a neighborhood west of Fontenelle Park, where a woman was found dead.

Another shooting was reported just east of the park around the same time. WOWT reports that police found a male victim with a gunshot wound. He is expected to survive.

Officials are searching for a suspect in the area. Police say they believe the two shootings are connected.

The victims have not been identified.
