Columbus – The North Platte Community College Knights Softball team season came to an end in the elimination game of the Region IX Division II tournament, being defeated by the Central Community College Lady Raiders 26-0.

The Knights had five hits off of Lady Raider pitcher Jayd Roberts, who struck out two Knights.  Jessica Jarvis led the Knights off in the first inning with a ground rule double. Makenzi DeCrow, Samantha Gill, Caroline Motis and Shelby Belloni also had hits.

The Knights finish the season with a record of 15-30.

Central will play Southeast Community College for the championship of Region IX.

The game was the final game as Knights for sophomores Shelby Clark, Sara Villalobos, Jessica Jarvis, Tara Crouch, Caroline Motis and Makenzi DeCrow.
