BROWNSON, Neb. (AP) — Two tornadoes have been spotted on the ground in the southern Panhandle of Nebraska.
The National Weather Service says trained spotters and Cheyenne County officials reported the tornadoes between 2 and 2:20 p.m. Monday, about two miles south of Brownson.
No injuries have been reported, but one building was damaged.
The two initially have been classified as landspout tornadoes, which experts say usually are weaker and smaller than twisters that are associated with thunderstorm rotation.

It was another perfect weekend for the North Platte First Nationals Senior Legion baseball team. Saturday was the home opener for the First Nationals hosting Columbus at Bill Wood Field. In game one, North Platte won 6-1 and followed up with a 13-3 win in six innings in game two over Columbus. Sunday’s doubleheader against Norfolk at Bill Wood Field began with a 6-0 win for North Platte in game one and once again the First Nationals dominated the second game of the doubleheader, ending it by run rule with a 13-3 victory after four innings. Both series were Cornhusker League games and improves the First Nationals Senior Legion to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in the Cornhusker League.
