August 10 is National S’mores Day, and the perfect time to announce that the Girl Scouts have added a new variety to their cookie line-up: Girl Scout S’mores^TM.

When you think of S’mores, you think of Girl Scouts. As far back as the early 1920s, the tradition of making and enjoying S’mores has been a staple of their outdoor experiences. Many a marshmallow has been slow- roasted and smooshed onto a bar of chocolate between two graham crackers around a Girl Scout campfire.
The new, S’mores-inspired Girl Scout Cookie is a clever take on the time-honored campfire treat. It is one more delicious way for consumers to support Girl Scouts in their community and the positive impact girls are making with their cookie proceeds.

Girl Scout S’mores^TM will be available in Nebraska when girls begin their Girl Scout Cookie Program sales on Friday, February 3, 2017.

Girl Scouts also reminds girls, parents, volunteers and community leaders that it is time to join and have S’more fun than ever imagined.
