BROKEN BOW, Neb. (AP) — A Broken Bow woman has been convicted in the 2013 death of a toddler in the western Nebraska town.
The Nebraska Attorney General’s Office says a Custer County jury found 26-year-old Brittney Pryce guilty Wednesday of child abuse resulting in death. Pryce faces 20 years to life in prison when she’s sentenced on Nov. 10.
Authorities say 20-month-old Noah Pryce suffered a suspicious head injury in November 2013 while in a car with Pryce and Pryce’s mother, Diane Hill.
Both women were initially charged with second-degree murder. The case against Hill was dismissed in July 2014. A murder charge against Pryce also was dropped.
Authorities say Pryce and her husband, Richard Pryce, were Noah’s guardians.
