Roberto “Bob” Sandoval, Sr., 77, of North Platte, passed away September 20, 2016 at his home. He was born December 11, 1938 to Luis and Juana (Ramos) Sandoval at Laredo, TX. In 1962, he was united in marriage to Martha Lopez in Michigan. Roberto worked for Mid-States Equipment Company constructing grain elevators in various states. They came to North Platte in 1979 when the North Platte grain elevator was constructed, this being his last project with the company. He later worked for Brewer Concrete until 1997, when encouraged by Raymond Brewer, he owned and operated Sandoval Concrete along with his family. He was beloved by all his family and his memory will be cherished by many. His family includes, his wife; Martha of North Platte, children; Roberto Sandoval, Jr., Juana Chapa, Jose Luis Sandoval, and Rene Sandoval all of Dallas TX, Norma (Chris) Trejo of Garden City KS, Nora Salas, Ricardo Sandoval, Ramiro Sandoval, and Robert (Marcie) Sandoval all of North Platte, 30 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, three sisters; Carmen (Ramon) Martinez, Alicia (Luis) Vargas, and Maria Theresa Arriaga, a brother; Arturo (Sylvia) Sandoval, and his four legged companion, Musky. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jorge Luis Sandoval, brother, Luis Giberto Sandoval, granddaughters, Alyssa Sandoval and Isabell Chapa, and great-grandson, Xavier Nieto. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Saturday, September 24, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at the North Platte Cemetery. Rosary will be 7:00 pm Friday at the church. Visitation will be from 8:30 am to 5 pm Friday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be shared at www.carpentermemorial.com
