Marcia Rae Kuhlmann, 71, of North Platte, died October 2, 2016, at Great Plains Health. Marcia was born on February 18, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was adopted in 1947, by her new parents, Virgil and Vivian McNitt Kuhlmann. Through the Opportunity Center, Marcia worked in the workshop, and with the cleaning crew. She was proud of her cleaning job at Centennial Park Nursing Home, where she worked for many years. A member of the Salvation Army, Marcia enjoyed her Bible Study group and visiting the Nursing Homes with the Captain. Marcia loved to spend time with her family. She loved to shop, enjoyed playing cards and games, doing word search, and the coloring club at the Library. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by a brother, Steve (Sherri) Kuhlmann of Loveland, CO; a sister, Barb (Andy) Collins of North Platte; nieces, Candi (John) Burns, Deb Collins (Ken Siemek), Merri Jo O’Dell, Maggie Kuhlmann, Lucie Kuhlmann (Mark Clintovici); nephews, Mike (Kathy) Collins, Sam (Colleen) Kuhlmann; 11 much loved great nieces and nephews; her good friend Kara Newtson. Online condolences may be shared at www,carpentermemorial.com. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army. Services will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday October 8 at the Salvation Army, 1020 N Adams AV. Burial will be at the North Platte Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:p.m. Friday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
