North Platte – The North Platte Community  College Knights softball team was among the Easton Top 10 academic team honors for junior colleges by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

The Knights were number six of all junior colleges in America with a cumulative team grade point average of 3.450 during the 2015-16 school year.

Allen County Community College, out of Iola, Kans. was the top junior college with a team GPA of  3.660.

Four Knights were also named as 2015-16 Easton / NFCA Junior College Scholar-Athletes.  They were: Shelby Clark, Kenzie DeCrow, Caroline Motis, and Sara Villalobos.  All four players were sophomores during the 2015-16 school year.
