Carol Lynn Wood, 52, of North Platte passed away November 6, 2016 at her home.
Carol was born on August 31, 1964 in Valentine, NE to Russell B. and Joyce (Seaton) Wood. She grew up in North Platte, graduating from North Platte High School. Carol worked at Linden Manor, Detleftson’s, for the State of Nebraska, and for the Union Pacific Railroad as a fireman oiler. In 1983 Carol married Derek Bargell. To this union two children were born, Toni and David.
Carol was an excellent cook; she loved the outdoors, her dog, Foxy Lady, who Carol loved to take for long walks in the park. She also loved spending time with her sisters and mom and enjoyed a good game of Cad. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Toni Bargell of Lincoln, and David Bargell of North Platte; grandchildren, Makenna Christensen of Lincoln, and Ellanor Deckert of North Platte; father, Russell Wood of Cambridge; mother, Joyce McNeal of North Platte; siblings, Cathy (Gary Twidwell) Wood of North Platte, Clare (Gene Naber) Wood of Humbolt, NE, and Connie (Denny) Bedker of North Platte.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Graveside inurnment will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016 at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
