Alex Neff, Doane University, has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference volleyball freshman of the year. The former North Platte Bulldog leads the Doane Tigers with 9.2 assists/set and ranks sixth overall in the conference. Neff also leads Doane with 57 service aces and is fourth on the team with 187 digs. Neff has totaled 1,077 assists this season while helping lead Doane (23-8) back to the NAIA national tournament for the first time since 2012. Neff’s 9.2 assists/set also ranks her sixth in the nation among NAIA freshmen.

Along with being named the freshman of the year in the conference, Neff was named first team all-GPAC.
