fatal-crashPLEASANTON, Neb. (AP) — One person is dead and another was injured in a highway crash in central Nebraska.

Authorities say 66-year-old Nancy Jackson of Ravenna was killed in the crash around 6:15 p.m. Thursday north of Pleasanton. James Psota, a 55-year-old man from Ord, was injured.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 10 and 340th Road in Buffalo County. Authorities say Jackson was driving westbound on 340th Road in a 2007 Mazda sports utility vehicle. Psota was driving a 2013 Dodge Ram pickup northbound on Highway 10 when the vehicles collided in the intersection. No passengers were in either vehicle.

Authorities closed the intersection for four hours to investigate the crash. The Buffalo County attorney has ordered an autopsy for Jackson.
