Phillip Wayne Mullen, age 49, of North Platte, NE, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 29, 2017, in California.
Phillip was born September 17, 1967, to Vernon Ray and Kathryn Agnes Dean Mullen at Tacoma, WA. He was raised by his father and stepmother, Ray and Tonya Mullen, in Ogallala, NE, where he also attended school. Phillip later traveled around different states and for the past few years had worked for Sargent Irrigation in Grant, NE. He had just recently moved to California.
Phillip loved camping at Lake McConaughy and the Huskers. He especially loved his family and laughing with his friends.
He will be missed by his father and stepmother, Ray and Tonya Mullen, of North Platte; his mother, Kathryn Drewry; son, Tristan Mullen, of Chapin, SC; sisters, Kitty (Anthony) Loomis, of Maywood, NE, and Shawna (Jason) Cooper, of Sutherland, NE; brother, Chris Mullen, of North Platte; three nieces, nine nephews and other family.
Cremation was chosen. Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2017, at the Harvest Christian Fellowship with Pastor Jeremy Rinke officiating. The memorial book may be signed at odeanchapel.com or prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
