Karen S. Harwick, 72 of Dickens, NE departed her life on Thursday May 4, 2017 at Great Plains Health.

She was born on March 12, 1945 in Dickens, NE to Frank and Goldie (Walker) Rogers.  Karen attended high school at the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture in Curtis, NE.  On April 15, 1961 she was united in marriage to Jack K. Harwick and to this union Stacy Burgess (Huntington Beach, CA) and Shelly (Rick) Kerchal (Dickens, NE).  Karen had four granddaughters, MacKenzie (Will) Frizzel, Courtney (Daniel) Castle, Whitney (fiancé, Michael Moran) Burgess, and Paige (fiancé, Wade Hawkinson) Kerchal; 2 great granddaughters, Abby and Paisley; brother-in-law, Jim (ZoeAnn) Harwick of Greeley, CO; and several nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; mother-in-law, Ardis Harwick; father-in-law, Bud Harwick; and sister-in-law, Jolene Harwick.

Karen enjoyed ranching for many years.

Memorials are suggested to the Wallace Ambulance Service and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com.  Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 20, 2017 at Willow Creek Cemetery south of Dickens, NE. with Pastors Jean Miller and Shannon Williams officiating.  Those wishing to do so may sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday May 19, 2017 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
