Alfred J. Gale

Alfred J. Gale, 87, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away June 19, 2017, at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne.

Alfred was born on Nov. 4, 1929, in Berthoud, Colorado, a son of the late William and Cynthia Gale. Alfred was raised in North Platte.

Al loved to fish. He and Virginia enjoyed many years of fishing together, mostly for walleye, in Nebraska and Wyoming. He will be remembered as a very generous man who dearly loved his children and grandchildren. His greatest desire was fulfilled when he went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Kenneth Gale, William Gale, Darrell Gale and Calvin Gale.

Alfred is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; two children, Judy (Scott) Kayser and John (Edith Ellen) Gale; two stepchildren, Jack (Karen) Spiker and Jim Spiker; a brother, Bud (Tootie) Gale; two sisters, Pat Jergensen and Ruth (Al) Kalb; nine grandchildren, Heather (Richard), Rebekah (Kevin), Rachel, Joel, Marianne (Marc), Jeff (Kristen) and Scott, Greg (Julie) and Brian (Teresa); and numerous great-grandchildren.
