Terrance “Terry” Lee Barrett, 66, of North Platte, passed away November 21, 2017 at Great Plains Health. He was born Dec. 31, 1950 to Wesley and Bonnie (Parrish) Barrett at North Platte. Terry graduated from North Platte High School in 1969. He served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge. He hired on the Union Pacific Railroad and then was drafted into the United States Army. On January 23, 1971, he was united in marriage to Kathy Lyons After his discharge, he returned to North Platte and his employment as conductor for the railroad.
Terry enjoyed playing pool, fishing, all sports and working in his yard. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; his mother, Bonnie; children, Mike (Elsa Delgado), Amy (Darnell) Anderson and Sam (Ashely Lewis); grandchildren, Jonathan, Richard, Addie and Nathan; numerous cousins and other family members including Scott and Connie Lyons and their families.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley in 2005.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Robin Storer officiating. Burial will be at the North Platte Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 prior to the services on Saturday. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in care of arrangements.
