OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Authorities say three people have been killed inside a northeast Omaha home.

Officers responding to a report of a shooting found the bodies around 8 p.m. Tuesday. Police have not released the victims’ names or provided any details about them.

Authorities are seeking 46-year-old John Dalton Jr. as a person of interest. Police say he owns the home and is related to one of the victims.

LEIGH, Neb. (AP) — A man has been killed in a rollover crash in eastern Nebraska’s Colfax County.

The accident occurred a little before 8:30 a.m. Friday on a county road. Deputies and medics sent to the scene found 61-year-old Michael Hadcock pinned beneath a truck.

Colfax County Attorney Denise Kracl says Hadcock was taken to a Columbus hospital, where he died. Hadcock lived in rural Leigh.

Kracl says in a news release that Hadcock had been headed north when his truck left the roadway and rolled, ejecting Hadcock.

HASTINGS, Neb. (AP) — Authorities have charged three people in the September slaying of a Hastings man.

Twenty-one-year-old Daniel Harden, of Hastings, was arrested Thursday and is charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm. Court records say 21-year-old Katherine Creigh, with a Hastings address, was arrested Friday morning in Lincoln. She’s charged with being an accessory to murder. The records also say 19-year-old Deante Mullen, of Lincoln, was charged Thursday with first-degree murder and with the use of a firearm. The records don’t list an attorney for any of them.

They’re accused of participating in the shooting death of 19-year-old Jose “Joey” Hansen. Hastings Police Chief Adam Story says Harden and Mullen intended to rob Hansen early on Sept. 11. Hansen’s body was found by a couple out for a walk.

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The governor has been given the names of two men to consider for a spot on the Nebraska Appeals Court.

A judicial nominating commission narrowed its list to David Bargen, of Adams, an attorney with the Lincoln firm of Rembolt Ludtke; and attorney Lawrence Welch Jr., of Beaver Lake.

The opening arises from the pending retirement of Judge Everett Inbody, of the 5th Appellate Court Judicial District. He’s been a county court, district court or appellate court judge for nearly 32 years.

The district covers 24 counties in southeast Nebraska, excluding Lancaster and Seward counties.

RALSTON, Neb. (AP) — Authorities say an early Christmas fire has heavily damaged a home in an Omaha suburb.

Firefighters were dispatched to the Ralston house around 12:45 a.m. Monday. The family members who rented the home were able to escape, and only one reported an injury to a hand.

The homeowner, Mark Klinker, says there was smoke and water damage throughout the structure.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A judge has dismissed a burglary charge filed against a bounty hunter who broke into an occupied Omaha residence and searched it until realizing he was in the wrong house.

The Douglas County District judge ruled that 25-year-old Duane Wilson’s actions weren’t out of line with court rulings that govern actions of bounty hunters.

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine said he plans to appeal the ruling.

Wilson worked for Gallagher Bail Bonds in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Police documents show Gallagher was looking for a 17-year-old who didn’t show up to court after being bailed out of jail. Wilson broke into a family’s home Jan. 30 intending to catch the teen.

The family alleges Wilson searched the house with a gun drawn. Wilson denies the claims.

TEKAMAH, Neb. (AP) — Authorities say a Tekamah man has died in a crash on a county road in northeast Nebraska’s Burt County.

The crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. Friday, about 3 miles (5 kilometers) southeast of Tekamah.

Chief Deputy Robert Sparks of the Burt County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that 36-year-old Richard Mossberger was alone in the vehicle when it crashed. Sparks says it’s believed slick roads, excessive speed and alcohol use may have been factors in the crash.
