Robert Lee Dale

Robert Lee Dale, age 84 of North Platte, passed away Thursday March 22, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

Bob was born September 1, 1933 in North Platte, NE to Robert Olin and Dorothea (Seeley) Dale.  He graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1951 and entered the Air Force in June of 1951.  After his discharge he married Claudia Jean Cornell on November 20, 1955 and to this union 8 children were born.  He worked at Allen’s Self Service Drug Store in North Platte and Apolius Irrigation in Chappell, NE; and the mobile home industry in Denver, CO and Phoenix, AZ before retiring and returning to North Platte.  He enjoyed stock car racing and photography.  Bob was a jokester and an unforgettable person who was loved by many and who never met a stranger.

Bob is survived by his wife Claudia “Jean” Dale of North Platte; children Rod (Sharon) Dale of Jacksonville, AR, Paula (Gerald) Konruff of North Platte, Rick (Laurie) Dale of Chappell, NE, Cindy (Rick) Fernandez of Wray, CO, David (Barbie) Dale of Spring Lake, NC, Bobbi (Nick) Mayfield of Topeka, KS, Joe (Tara) Dale of Chandler, AZ; 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters LaVonne Dahl of Scribner, NE, Moni (Russ) Einfalt of Gering, NE, Carolyn (Larry) DeBaets of Burwell, NE; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Dale; mother and step-father Dorothea and Louis Frager; son Jeffrey Dale; grandson Chance Hatfield; great granddaughter Izabelle Rosado; sister Ronda Frager; and brother-in-law Duane Dahl.

Memorials are suggested in his name and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday March 26, 2018 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home with Reverend Melvin Brown officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation will be from noon until 6:00 p.m. Saturday March 24, 2018 with family receiving friends from 2:00 until 4:00 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
