Robert Alfred Trembly

Robert Alfred Trembly, age 93 of Hershey, passed away Monday April 2, 2018 at Great Plains Health.

Bob was born January 22, 1925 in North Platte to Theodore “Ted” and Ruth (Snyder) Trembly.  He graduated from North Platte High School and then entered the US Army, serving from 1944 to 1946 during WWII in the Philippines.  After his discharge he returned home where he married Zola Bayne.  He hired on to the Union Pacific Railroad as a Fireman on the steam engines, and later was promoted to Engineer, retiring in 1990.  He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.  He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and camping.  Family was first priority with him; he loved his son and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all.

Bob is survived by his son Robert K. (Kathy) Trembly of Hershey; grandchildren Caleb (Amy) Trembly and Megan (Frank Macias) Trembly all of North Platte; great grandchildren Kaylee, Karlee, Rylee, and Connor; sister Theola Merrill of Paxton; as well as numerous other family members and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Ruth Trembly; and wife Zola.

Memorials are suggested in his name and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com.  Cremation was chosen and graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 4, 2018 at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery with Pastor Dean Bailey officiating.  A luncheon will follow at the Maxwell Community Hall.  Those wishing to do so may sign the register book from noon until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday April 3, 2018 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
