Shannon Elizabeth Montgomery, 63, of North Platte, passed away April 8, 2018, at Great Plains Health.

She was born on Nov. 20, 1954, to Jay and Barbara (Farley) Beerman in North Platte. Shannon attended North Platte High School and Mid-Plains Community College. She later furthered her education at Texas Woman’s College, receiving a degree in counseling and physiology. She served in the ministry for many years.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Michael Shane Beerman.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara of North Platte; a son, David (Brenda) Carter of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter, Sara (Carlos) Fleury of Port Charlotte, Florida; two brothers, Jay Beerman of Alma and Randall Beerman of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and a granddaughter, Antonia.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today, April 12, at Victory Church of God, 3121 West A St., with the Pastor Walker Baird officiating. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
