Kathleen (Dworak) Dickman

Kathleen (Dworak) Dickman, 65, of Maxwell, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Great Plains Health with her family at her side.

Kathy was born November 26, 1952 in Ord, NE to George and Gail (Hall) Dworak.  She was raised in Ord, where she attended and graduated from Ord High School in 1971.

Following high school, Kathy attended University of NE at Lincoln where she received her Bachelors degree.  After graduating college, Kathy moved to Maxwell and started working for the Department of Health and Human Services.  In 2011, she retired after over 30 years of service.

On December 26, 1977, Kathy was united in marriage to Darrell Dickman.  They built a life together in Maxwell, NE, where they raised their daughter and made many lifelong friends.

Kathy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  She enjoyed reading, spending time at the lake, planting flowers, and Husker football.  Her greatest passion was spending time with her two grandsons and she treasured her many friendships, entertaining them at her home.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Darrell of Maxwell; one daughter, Kara Brestel of Maxwell; two grandsons, Brodee and Brock Brestel; two brothers, Tom (Marlys) Dworak of Ord, and Dick (Terri) Dworak of Lincoln; one brother-in-law, Dwain (Nancy) Dickman of Manchester, TN; two sisters-in-law, Dwana (Kevin) Paul of Maxwell, and Darlene Johnson of North Platte; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents. George and Gail Dworak; and her in-laws, Dale and Deloris Dickman.

A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2018 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Sukraw officiating.  Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery south of Maxwell.  Visitation will be noon – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
