Adella M. Bouillette

Adella M.  Bouillette, age 93 of North Platte, passed away Thursday November 8, 2018 at Linden Court.

Adella was born September 19, 1925 in Seguin, KS to Emile and Delia (Saindon) Simoneau, the seventh of 11 children.  She graduated from high school in Beatrice, NE.  After graduation she moved to Hastings, NE where she worked for Kansas Nebraska Natural Gas Company Inc., which is how she answered the phone.  It was in Hastings that she met her future husband, Rolan “Rags” Brouillette.  While dating they enjoyed roller skating and dancing.  They were married at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hastings in 1947.  After they were married, they briefly moved to Phillipsburg, KS before returning to Hastings, where they ran Hec’s Place, a tavern and cafe.  In 1961, they moved to North Platte where they owned and operated the Platte Bar.  Adella was very active in the Catholic church and was the head of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women.  She was a founding member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and one of the original Holy Spirit Church Ladies.  She and Rags enjoyed traveling and spending time at their Lake Maloney cabin with children, grandchildren, extended family and friends.  They were very involved in NEBRASKAland Days and the Lincoln County Democrats.

Survivors include her 10 children: Sandy (Gary) Pell, Kathy (Doug) Wenz, Mike (Jackie) Brouillette all of North Platte, Doug (Karen) Brouillette of Omaha, Rosemary (Joel) Walker of McDonough, GA, Vicki (Kent) Adney of Sterling, CO, Teresa (Blaine) Wid, Rolan Jr. (Valerie) Brouillette, Tim (Melissa) Brouillette all of North Platte, and Patrick (friend Balou) Brouillette of Scottsdale, AZ; a brother Bill Simoneau of Denver; 30 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and many friends.

She was preceeded in death by her parents Emile and Delia Simoneau; 9 siblings; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

Memorials are suggested to Holy Spirit Catholic Church or the North Platte Catholic Schools.  Online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com.  Christian Wake Services will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday November 9, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday November 10, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with the Reverend Vidya Sager Arikotla as Celebrant.  Burial will be at a later date at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery.  Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 p.m. Friday November 9, 2018 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
