Steven F. Ormesher 75, of North Platte, died January 21, 2019, peacefully at home after a long battle with Alzheimers. Steven was born on October 22, 1943 in Valentine NE to Henry and Viola Ormesher.
He joined the US Airforce in 1961 and proudly served his country in Vietnam as a technical adviser. On October 24, 1964 Steven was united in marriage to the love of his life Dorothy Werner. The happy couple lived most of their married life in North Platte NE. Steve was a hard worker and never missed a day of work that his family can remember, except on one occasion, he missed just one day due to having West Nile Virus. Steve worked as a hired ranch hand, truck driver and as a plumber until 1981 when he became the proud owner/operator of Armesher Plumbing and Heating of North Platte. He ran and worked for Armeshers for over three decades. Steve was an outgoing, friendly man who loved to visit with anyone who would lend him an ear. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, VFW, American Legion, and the German American club.
Steven is survived by his children, Kim (Gale) Marx, of Hay Springs, NE, Dan (Laurie) Ormesher of Fort Collins, CO, and Mike Ormesher of North Platte, NE.; grandchildren, Kerisa Marx, Kolten Marx, and Kaelob Marx all of NE., Nicole Jensen, Jenna Coats, Brooke Johnson, Andrea Jensen, and Mitchell Jensen, all of CO.; great-grandchildren, Reiley and James Johnson and Hunter and Cody Mallett also of CO.; he is also survived by three siblings, Joan(Gene) Noxon, Joyce Noxon, and John Ormesher; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Viola Ormesher; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis and Leona Werner; and his beloved wife Dorothy Ormesher.

Christian Wake Services will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Reverend Josh Brown as celebrant. Cremation to follow. Inurnment will be at a later date in Fort McPherson National Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
