The lawsuit announced Monday contends the university made “false, deceptive and/or misleading” statements to prospective and current students about its “RN to BSN” program. The program was designed to help current registered nurses obtain a bachelor of science in nursing degree.
The attorney general’s office says 179 students participated in the program between 2012 and 2017. Officials say students relied on Bellevue University’s “misleading statements” when deciding to enter the program.
A Bellevue University spokeswoman says the university holds itself to high standards and the allegations aren’t true. She says the university will defend itself in court.
