Jack Eakins Doucet, 65, of Everett, WA, formerly of North Platte, NE, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015, in Everett.
Jack was born to Ardis (Eakins) and Joseph Doucet on January 19, 1950, in Sutherland, NE and grew up in North Platte. He graduated from North Platte High School in 1968 then married Pat Topp on August 30.
He worked for Municipal Light and Water before attending Cheyenne AeroTech. Jack later went to work for Boeing in Everett.
He served in the National Guard and was a member of the American Veterans Motorcycle Club. Jack enjoyed his family, fishing and riding his Harley.
He is survived by his wife, Pat, of Everett; sons, Russell (Amy), of North Platte and Dave (Anita); a daughter, Kristine; his grandchildren, Nick, Kaitlyn, Levi, Katelyn, Dennon, Tim (Ashley), Chelsea and Jonathon; a great-grandson, Braydan; a brother, Doug (Rosetta), of North Platte; sisters, Charlene (Mick) McFadden and Barbara (John) Van Pelt, all of Paxton; his special dog, Lucy; and many nieces, nephews and other family.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws; a brother, Joseph; brother-in-law, Lyle Ecker; and his niece and nephew, Shelley and Jeff Ecker.
Cremation was chosen. Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore with Pastor Richard Karr officiating. The memorial book may be signed at odeanchapel.com or prior to the service at the funeral home. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
