OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Police have arrested a man they believe shot into a car full of people, including two toddlers.
Police say one man in the car, 26-year-old Johnny Landers, was critically injured in the Thursday night shooting, but expected to survive. He is being treated at Creighton University Medical Center.
Besides Landers, three other adults, a 14-month-old girl and a 2-year-old girl were in the car. The children suffered scrapes on their faces and were checked by paramedics at the scene.
Police arrested a 23-year-old man in the shooting on suspicion of assault, five counts of attempted felony assault and discharge of a firearm.
