DeMaryius Thomas’ heroics led the Denver Broncos to one of the most unlikely playoff victories in NFL history. Thomas’ 80-yard touchdown catch in overtime lifted the AFC West Champion Broncos to a 29-23 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers at Sports Authority Field in Denver. The Broncos outscored the Steelers 20-0 in the second quarter on their way to taking a 20-6 halftime lead, but Pittsburgh scored a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to tie the game and send it to the extra session. On the first play of the overtime, Thomas wrapped up the game and made the Broncos the third straight playoff team with a record of 8-8 or worse to win their Wild Card weekend matchup. Next up for the Broncos is a Divisional Round trip to Foxboro to face the New England Patriots. Kickoff is set for Saturday night at 7 PM.
