The North Platte Community College Lady Knight Volleyball team will be on the road for five matches in three days. They will first go to Beatrice to play the Southeast Community College Lady Storm in a key National Junior College Athletic Association Region IX Division II matchup.
The Lady Knights are 7-10 on the season and 1-1 in Region IX play. The Lady Knights are 12th in the nation in service aces led by Aryn Meisinger with 41 and Valerie Most with 35. Most leads the Lady Knights in kills with 162. Other category leaders for the Lady Knights are: Megan Chintala with 269 defensive digs, Samantha Morgan with 48 total blocks, and Shelby Wolever with 263 set assists.
Lady Knights Head Coach Alexa Hopping said, “This will be a good game for us and we have worked hard because we know we have to establish that we can do some big things if we take care of ourselves along the way. We are looking forward to Thursday.”
Southeast is 6-10 on the season and 1-1 in Region IX.
Sophomore middle blocker Amara Meeks leads the Lady Storm with 145 kills. Abbey Humlicek has 168 defensive digs and Shelby Lineberry has 429 set assists to lead the Lady Storm in those categories.
