Beulah Marie Wever, age 87 of Sutherland passed away September 23, 2015 at the Sutherland Care Center.
Beulah was born January 11, 1928 in Sutherland to Walter and Hazel (Stanton) Coker. She grew up and attended school in Sutherland, graduating from Sutherland High School in 1946. On March 16, 1946 she married Floyd E. Wever in Sutherland. The couple lived at O’Fallons before moving to the original Coker homestead, where they farmed and operated a dairy. The two owned and operated Sutherland Laundry, a commercial laundry for 5 years before selling. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sutherland and Union Pacific Railroad Oldtimers, being a past president. She enjoyed playing in her card club, playing on her computer, playing games, visiting people, gambling and entertaining. She was always helping kids who needed it, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Beulah is survived by her husband, Floyd of Sutherland; children, Diana (Larry) Reitz of Paxton, Susie (Don) Swain of Yuma, AZ, and William “Bill” (Kristi) Wever of Sutherland; grandchildren, Sarah (Adam) Hauser-Hickman of Allen, TX, Donnell Hauser of Allen, TX, Wade (Jaime) Reitz of Lincoln, Aaron Reitz of Kearney, Dena (Brandon Corder) Wever of Omaha, and Derek (Steph) Wever of Omaha; great-grandchildren, Markie, Charlie, Joe, Tucker, McKinley, Avery, and Landon; step-grandchildren, Mackenzie Penner of Kearney and Logan Penner of North Platte; brother, Wallace Coker of Cheyenne, WY; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Ruth Banks and Kenny Coker.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church in Sutherland with Pastor Scott Mustion officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Sutherland. Those wishing to do so may sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
