LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A woman accused of trying to drive her ex-boyfriend off Interstate 80 in Lincoln has been sentenced to three to six years in prison.
40-year-old Billie Wright was sentenced Monday. She had pleaded no contest to attempted second-degree assault and attempted second-degree domestic assault and willful reckless driving.
Prosecutors said that on June 6, a motorist called police about a car intentionally trying to force another vehicle off the road. According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, Wright had followed her ex-boyfriend onto the interstate and repeatedly swerved her car at his car and rammed it several times.
Police say the victim pulled to the side of the road and a passenger in his car suffered a small cut near her right eye during the incident.
