Jodi Ann Bullington, 48 of Mullen passed away November 9, 2015 at Great Plains Health. Jodi was born May 5, 1967 to Larry and Linda (Fleecs) Montross in North Platte. She attended elementary school with area neighbors at Sioux Lookout, a country school only ΒΌ mile from her home through 8th grade. She had many found memories of her walks to and from school as a young child. She attended Maxwell High School graduating May 5, 1985 as Valedictorian of her class. Jodi then attended Mid Plains Community College in North Platte, Nebraska attaining an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Accounting, graduating with honors in 1987.
On May 29, 1987 Jodi married Garth Bullington residing on the Paxton Ranch in Stapleton, Nebraska for the next 13 years. To this union two daughters were born, Cortney Ann and Justy Renee Bullington. Jodi worked for various neighbors painting and doing various duties including a Vacation Dude Ranch Assistant, Bull Barn Genetics Receptionist, and the North Platte Sale Barn for 10 years working in the cafeteria under her good friend Lee Ann Paxton. Jodi was active with various service groups including Girl Scouts and 4-H as her children grew up. In July 2000 the couple moved to Mullen to help operate the Bullington family ranch. Jodi enjoyed being outside working on the weekends and in between her job in town with the cows, horses, and animals, gardening, and growing flowers, and raising her kids. She worked for Mullen Public Schools as secretary of the High School from August 2000 to June 2015 when she was diagnosed. She was very proud of her family and their accomplishments and family always came first in her life. She will always be a part of them, even in spirit from her home in heaven, where she will be watching over them.
Survivors include her parents, Larry and Linda Montross of North Platte; husband, Garth of Mullen; daughters, Cortney Bullington of Kearney and Justy Bullington of Chadron; sister, Kelly (Mark) Timmons of Billings, MT; sisters-in-law, Valma (Don) Smith, Merry (Gary) Venezie, Marsha Bullington, Alisa (Leonard) Phillips, Rhonda Crouch; and brother-in-law, Cecil (Mickey) Bullington; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Callista and Lloyd Fleecs, Erma and J.R. Montross; father-in-law, Veldon Bullington; brother-in-law, Edwin Bullington; nephew, Tab Bullington; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00 a.m. MST Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Lariat in Mullen with Pastor Shanon Williams officiating. Inurnment will follow at Miller Cemetery near Tryon. Cremation was chosen. Those wishing to sign the register book may do so 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home in North Platte.
