Elwin DeWayne Miller, age 71, of North Platte, passed away Friday, November 13th at Great Plains Health.
He was born August 5, 1944 in North Platte to Wayne and Grace (Lutes) Miller. He graduated from McPherson County High School. On June 20, 1965 he married Margaret Howe. Elwin did many things in his life. He and Margaret operated Miller Ranch Supply from 1965 to 1979; he worked at the Gerald Gentleman Station from 1979 to 1991; drove truck from 1991 to 1997; owned and operated Yellowstone Motel from 1997 to 2001; managed Stanford Motel from 2001 to 2003; and raised goats since 2003.
Survivors include his wife Margaret of North Platte; three sons, Alvin (LaVenda Knaub) Miller of North Platte, Rodger (Nicole) Miller of Hastings, and Robert Miller of North Platte. Three sisters, Velda (John) Schraer of Atchison, KS, Penny (Dan) Nicholson of Oologoh, OK, Berva (Dan) Arnsdorf of Tryon; a brother, Doye (Vickie) Miller of Tryon; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation was chosen. There will be a Celebration of Elwin’s Life for all his family and friends from 11:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at his home, 11259 North Highway 83, North Platte. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
