The North Platte Community College basketball teams earned a home sweep of McCook Community College last night. The Lady Knights won their fourth straight contest with a 77-66 win over the Lady Indians. A 10-0 run late in the second half gave the Lady Knights the lead for good. Five players scored in double figures, led by Renee Otero’s 19 points. The Lady Knights improve to 11-9 with the win. In the men’s game, a phenomenal first half lifted the Knights to a 78-58 victory over McCook. North Platte led by 29 points at the halftime break and by as many as 34 points in the second half. Nick Tomsick’s 29 points led the Knights offensively. The Knights men move their record to 11-8. The Knights and Lady Knights are back in action Friday night, when they host Northeast Community College.
