William E. Cogley

William E. Cogley, of North Platte, NE, passed into his heavenly home on Nov. 22, 2015 at Great Plains Health. Bill was born on Aug. 7, 1942 in Cohoes, NY to Norman and Gladys Cogley.
He graduated from Clarkson College of Technology in Potsdam, NY with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was employed by Mobil Oil, ALCO, LEDCo, United Oil, General Electric, Nexterna and EMD until retiring in 2008.
In 1974, he married Marilyn J. King and inherited a ready-made family of 4 children. He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Platte. He was a faithful servant of Jesus, leading many Bible studies and an Emmaus brother. His hobbies were bowling, trapshooting, fishing and golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his wife, Marilyn, of 41 years; daughter, Renae (Irving F.) Hiatt; sons, Tom (Darcy) King, Kenny King of North Platte and Jerry (Ingrid) King of Quilicura Chile; 14 grandchildren and their spouses; 7 great grandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law, Paul and Marcia Gagnon of Troy, NY; sister-in-law, Karen Pistner of Erie, PA; and many friends.
Those wishing to sign his memorial book may do so from 9am to noon on Wednesday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Cremation was chosen. Online condolences may be shared at www.carpentermemorial.com. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church, KJLT Radio or donor’s choice. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Sat., Nov. 28, 2015 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Peter Brick officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Family will be receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
